Calling all "American Idol" fans!
The 13th season got its start this week and the first two episodes featured four local singers looking for a shot at the big time.
In the first episode of the season on Wednesday night (Jan. 15), Terrica Curry, 20, of North Little Rock and Malcolm Allen, 21, from Wrightsville both advanced to the second round of the singing competition. The second episode on Thursday (Jan. 16) featured two more locals: Bryan native Spencer Lloyd, 19, and 28-year-old Eric Wood of Higginson. All of the contestants competed at the Austin, Texas auditions and made it through judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr., to Hollywood, the second round of the competition.
Arkansas has produced its share of stars on the show, including Kris Allen, who won the singing competition in season eight. The show even made a stop in Little Rock on their mobile bus tour last August!
