
The Children's Theatre presents "Ferdinand the Bull" March 5 - 21.
Go on a Spanish adventure. Children and parents alike will adore the heart-warming story of "Ferdinand the Bull," the carefree young bull who enjoys spending sunny afternoons smelling flowers in the shade of his favorite cork tree. Experience the sights, sounds and culture of Spain in this wonderful musical opening Friday, March 5. 7 p.m. Fridays, 3 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through March 21 at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre. Enjoy uplifting music. Christian music's largest annual tour, the Winter Jam 2010 Tour Spectacular, will visit central Arkansas at 7 p.m. March 19 at Verizon Arena. Hosted for the 15th consecutive year by Grammy-nominated NewSong, the Tour will includes renowned Christian recording artists Third Day, Newsboys, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight and guest speaker Tony Nolan. Grab your rod and reel. Get the whole family fishing during Pinnacle Mountain State Park's Family Fishing Cruise from 1-4 p.m. March 22. Meet at Jolly Roger's Marina in Little Rock before park interpreters lead you to the best fishing spots on Lake Maumelle. Bring your own gear and bait; the park provides a guide, pontoon, and life jackets. The afternoon of fishing fun costs $35 for adults, $20 children ages 6-12; advance payment required. Savor a meal among animals. Join Little Rock Zoo reptiles for breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. March 27. Hunt for Easter eggs? It may only be March, but there are Easter festivities already underway in central Arkansas. The City of Jacksonville will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10:15 a.m. March 27 at Excel Park. In case of rain, attendees should meet at the Jacksonville Community Center.
