The March edition of Little Rock Family is now available at more than 500 locations in central Arkansas.
The March edition of Little Rock Family hit the streets last week. Our theme this month is "Religion and Families." While we know that families in central Arkansas practice a variety of faiths and religions, we've chosen to focus this edition on Christianity. It seemed appropriate with Easter right around the corner. In the future, we'll examine other traditions and religions, giving our readers the chance to learn more about the world cultures found here in our backyard.
I'm very proud of our editorial lineup. Guest writer Melissa Bacon delves deeper into the symbols of Easter and shares ways we can prepare our homes. Sissy Goff, a native of Little Rock (and a childhood friend of mine), and Melissa Trevathan were kind enough to share an excerpt from their book "Everything You Need to Know about Raising Girls." They give us the inside scoop on the key developmental stages of girls and how we as parents can guide them through each stage and closer to God. Plus we have a wonderful special section on children's ministries programs in central Arkansas.
Our cover mom this month is Betsy Singleton Snyder – an ordained minister, mother of four children under 4 and wife of U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder. She shares a peek into their extremely busy lives and discusses how they manage to balance work and family life.
Finally, we have a full calendar of events and tons of suggestions for how to spend your Spring Break. And be sure to check out our Little Rock Family Photo Album for great snow day pics.
Remember, there's so much more to Little Rock Family than what you read in print each month. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, be a fan on Facebook and subscribe to the Weekly Play Date e-newsletter.
