Do you know a young person in your community who deserves to be recognized for his or her volunteer work?

Starting tomorrow (Feb. 1), you can nominate kids ages 6-18 for the 2013 Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program. Kohl's Department Stores will award more than $425,000 in scholarships and prizes to 2,300 volunteers across the nation.

The grand prize will go to 10 winners, who will receive a total of $10,000 in scholarships for higher education and $1,000 each to donate to the nonprofits they choose.

Winners will be chosen based on their volunteer work over the past year, including the benefits and outcomes of their service to the community.
