Arkansas Arts Center members are invited to a member reception for the exhibitions Wendy Maruyama: The Tag Project / Executive Order 9066 and Edward Weston: Leaves of Grass. Members will enjoy music, cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres.
The work from Maruyama, a studio furniture maker, will tell the story of the Japanese-American internment camps during World War II through artifacts, furniture, and tags worn by those in the camps.
The photographs on view in Weston's exhibit are gelatin-silver prints commissioned in 1941 to accompany a collection of Walt Whitman poems.
