To commemorate Black History Month, Linda McDowell will discuss the lives of several prominent and notable Arkansas African Americans.
McDowell is an archival assistant at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock. She serves on the board of the Arkansas Historical Association, and is a member of the Garland County Historical Society, the Arkansas Genealogical Society (former board member and officer, 2000-2004), and the National Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society in Washington, D.C.
Attendees are invited to bring a sack lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided.
