The Tobi Fairley Gallery is pleased to host a reception featuring the Birds on a Wire series by Lisa Lala. Her expressive oil paintings, including her Hill, Ferris Wheel and List series, feature doodle-like drawings and stream-of-consciousness thoughts etched into thick paint with a carpenter's pencil. Along with traditional canvas, the artist also employs the centuries-old technique of painting on glass, giving a sense of luminosity and lightness to her work.

The artist will be in attendance for a wine and cheese reception and show from 6-8 p.m. July 29. Those interested in purchasing a painting are encouraged to contact the gallery prior to the show to schedule an appointment.
