Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Beta Pi Omega Chapter will celebrate 75 years of service to the city of Little Rock.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the first Greek-letter organization established by African American women, was established in 1908 in Washington, D.C., and Beta Pi Omega Chapter was chartered in Little Rock in 1937.
Since its chartering, Beta Pi Omega Chapter has been an integral part of not only the Little Rock community, but its members have impacted the state of Arkansas as well.
Over the years, Beta Pi Omega Chapter has awarded over $150,000 to deserving high school students in the Greater Little Rock area. In January 2011, the chapter played a pivotal role in the sorority's National Founders' Day Celebration in Little Rock, which brought statewide and national attention to our city and its efforts to provide service to all mankind.
In order to commemorate this momentous occasion, our International President, Carolyn House Stewart, Esq., will serve as our keynote speaker, and we will reflect on our years of service to our community.
