- Description: Just across the river in the Argenta district is one of our new favorite lunch and grocery spots. Argenta Market specializes in fresh, local produce, as well as locally-produced food products like War Eagle Mill grains and flours and local dairy products. They also carry Boulevard Bread products, have cases of prepared, ready-to-go foods and serve delicious lunches. Their lunch specials vary from day to day, so check their website to find out the specials on any given day. Monday might bring red snapper fish tacos, Tuesday a southwest turkey sandwich and Wednesday a house-made corn dog. We stopped in on a Tuesday, and were pleased to find the special was a salmon burger, which featured a seasoned salmon patty served on a jalapeno roll with pesto may and spring mix. Crunchy house-made potato chips accompanied our sandwich, which was one of the best we've ever had. Thinking about it makes our mouths water!
French toast is on the Saturday breakfast menu at Argenta Market.
