Estate planning means a coordination of the clients' objectives with the tools the attorney has at her disposal. While many clients have the same general expectations, each situation is still different. It is important for the attorney to listen to the clients' needs, wants, and concerns and then make recommendations accordingly. Lori Holzwarth has been tailoring estate planning documents according to these guidelines for fifteen years. In describing what makes her different from others, Holzwarth states, "I do not dictate to my clients what to do, rather I help them make informed choices from their options. My clients will tell you that I explain their options and documents to them in plain English." Holzwarth believes a range of lifetime experiences from growing up on a farm in eastern Arkansas to practicing law to being a soccer mom gives her the ability to relate to most people. Holzwarth says the best part of her job is when the clients leave the office with their plan completed and the weight lifted off their shoulders knowing this is done and done correctly. Outside work, Holzwarth enjoys waterskiing, spending time with her husband, Ted, and their children, Alex and Allison, and following the Razorbacks.
