Fairway Independent Mortgage
Fairway Independent is a mortgage banker with 110 branches nationwide. I opened the Arkansas division in 2003, and we specialize in residential lending needs. We are one of the top 10 mortgage bankers in the country and have funded over $5 billion annually in the past four years. My team takes great pride in providing our customers with legendary customer service that we call the Fairway experience!
People often underestimate the power of...
sincerity and true authenticity toward others.
I feel most powerful when...
when I am with my husband Chad Millard. He is both my best friend and my business mentor. He has a great business mind that I truly admire and a huge heart for family. As my twins say, "He is awesome!"
If I weren't doing this job, I'd be...
I'd be at the beach.
Why do you love your career?
I get to help people buy houses. It is really exciting to watch first-time homebuyers close on their first house! I am honored that people place their trust in me regarding such big financial decisions.
What does your future hold?
I would like to give away a home every year in Arkansas through our partnership with Military Warriors Support Foundation. There are no limits when small, smart choices add up!
What is your favorite quote or personal motto?
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined." -Henry David Thoreau
What's a fact about yourself that will surprise people?
I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. My husband introduced me to the sport when we first starting dating, and we loved going to Memphis for weekends to watch the Redbirds (Triple-A affiliate for the Cardinals). We are avid collectors of Cardinals memorabilia and even attended the World Series for our first anniversary. It always impresses him when I say, "They just scored a 6-4-3 double play." He taught me to score the game in case the scoreboard isn't working.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you have given yourself as you were starting out?
Slow down - life goes way too fast! Learn to be good at whatever you do; it will make you happy!
