Arkansas Business reports that the state's jobless rate has peaked, according to economists in Little Rock and Fayetteville.
Arkansas' unemployment rate has remained steady at 7.6 percent for a couple of months and continues to track much better than the national rate of 9.7 percent. When it comes to jobs in Arkansas, it's still feds, meds and Wal-Mart.
Government and health care continue to carry the bulk of jobs in the state. Arkansas Business reports that 25 of the top 35 employers in the state were either government agencies or health-care providers. (Be sure to check out AB's list of largest employers.)
Seems both government growth and illness are recession-proof.
